We are excited to announce that there will be interactive demonstrations and presentations, which you are invited to join live. These will be recorded as well in case you cannot attend on the 27th of March. During the Q&A panel some of our presenters will be available for questions about their work and will also be a great opportunity for networking an meeting other like-minded professionals working in the field of complex trauma

Dr Thania Acaron is a dance and movement psychotherapist, researcher, lecturer and performer. Dr Acarón currently works as a lecturer at the University of South Wales in the Faculty of Creative Industries. She also offers international workshops on movement for wellbeing, therapeutic work with the LGBT+ community, embodied decision-making, physical theatre/contemporary dance, interdisciplinary therapeutic arts and violence prevention.
On the 27th of March she will introduce dance movement psychotherapy and some of its fundamental principles: body-mind connection, kinaesthetic empathy and body symbolism. If you're attending this presentation participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, have reflection materials at hand, and clear some space to move, if possible.
Dr Scott P. Sells, PhD, MSW, LCSW, LMFT, creator of the Family Systems Trauma (FST) model, has been treating children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioural problems for over 20 years. He has over 20 publications and has written three books: Treating the Traumatized Child: A Step-by-Step Family Systems Approach, Treating the Tough Adolescent: A Family-Based, Step-by-Step Guide and Parenting Your Out-of-Control Teenager: 7 Steps to Reestablish Authority and Reclaim Love. Scott specialises in working with impossible or stuck cases whose families have not been successful with other counselors. Scott was a former Professor of Social Work at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA and Associate Professor at UNLV in Las Vegas, NV. He founded the Parenting with Love and Limits (PLL) model that is being used across the US and Europe.
Miles Salter writer, musician and broadcaster from York. His creative output since 2002 has included journalism, fiction for young adults and children, running York Literature Festival for eight years, and presenting The Arts Show on Jorvik Radio. He fronts the band Miles and The Chain Gang. He has also worked as visiting lecturer at Leeds Trinity University, as well as in schools and prisons.
On the 27th of March he will perform some poems from his new book, Fix, which includes writing on addiction, therapy, and why there are so few songs about cheese. In his performance, Stories & Songs of Acceptance, Miles will also be performing some songs, and will attempt to answer the question 'what do poetry and therapy have in common?' on the 27th March 2021 (11:15 - 11:45 ).. from Miles below:
