Who We Are

Dzmitry Karpuk – has around 35 years of experience offering trauma recovery psychotherapy (over 20 years in Leeds & Harrogate). He is a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist  registered with the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT) and UKCP (MSc, PGDIP, UKCP reg), previously trained and worked as a Counselling Psychologist  in various settings & a Paramedic and Nurse in the Armed Forces. Dzmitry is particularly recognized for his significant experience in delivering trauma-related training to various professionals, both nationally and internationally. His particular interests include supporting professionals working with traumatised and vulnerable clients, burnout and secondary trauma impact on professionals. He is also a trainer and team member of Blake Emergency Services, Suicide Bereavement UK & the Complex Trauma Institute. He regularly provides individual, group supervision, training to a wide range of clinicians and non-mental health professionals (e.g. national organisations like Family Action, Migrant Help, Rape Crisis etc).

Celia Dawson – Is a Co-ordinator at the Focusing Institute (USA) and a person-centred psychotherapist, BA, Dip.PCAI(GB).

Michael Guilding - is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with 24 years post-qualification experience.  He has previously worked in the NHS as a GP practice counsellor, and a service manager for primary care counselling and primary care mental health. He retired from the NHS in 2011and now works purely in private practice.  His work was supervised for many years by Una McCluskey who introduced him to Dorothy Heard and Brian Lake’s “Dynamics of Attachment in Adults” which first sparked his interest in the Fear System.  He was a member of Una McCluskey’s first UK training group in Exploratory Goal-Corrected Psychotherapy, and now collaborates with Dzmitry Karpuk within the UK Complex Trauma Therapists’ Network  exploring the central role of the Fear System in complex trauma.
